Kara, please don’t break Kenny’s heart.

Who better to direct the second of the two Danvers Sisters episodes in Supergirl’s final season than Alex Danvers herself aka Chyler Leigh?

Director Chyler Leigh talks through a scene with Izabela Vidovic who plays Young Kara.

CHYLER LEIGH MAKES HER DIRECTORIAL DEBUT – Part two of the flashback episodes pick up where things left off – Young Kara (guest star Izabela Vidovic) experiences kryptonite for the first time, Nia (Nicole Maines) and Brainy (Jesse Rath) are trapped by invading aliens, and a young Cat Grant (guest star Eliza Helm) may be the reason Supergirl never gets out of the Phantom Zone. Chyler Leigh directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Jess Kardos (#606). Original airdate 5/4/2021

Episode 6×06 Prom Again is Chyler Leigh’s directorial debut on Supergirl.

Chyler Leigh confirmed her directorial debut on Supergirl sharing a photo of her Director’s Chair last December.

Oh yes, Friends. It’s happening 😎🎬 My directorial debut on the show that’s changed my life for the better ❤ Such an honor.

EVENT: THE FLASH Season 8 To Launch in November With 5 Super Hero Crossover-Style Episodes

The Flash

Grant Gustin, Caity Lotz, Tyler Hoechlin, Javicia Leslie, Brec Bassinger, Cress Williams, Melissa Benoist.

Supergirl is the DC super hero I want to see most in The Flash season 8’s five crossover-style episodes this Fall.

But logistically that may not be possible with Supergirl wrapping production in Vancouver early this August.

Still, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace reportedly is in preliminary talks with Black Lightning star Cress Williams about guest-starring in these special event episodes and that show already has wrapped production in Atlanta and aired its series finale.

What are these special event episodes?

Various heroes from the Arrowverse, or the CWverse as The CW calls it, will visit The Flash in the first five episodes of season 8.

The idea for The Flash is [showrunner] Eric Wallace and [executive producer Greg Berlanti] have come together, and we’re talking about other superheroes from the CWverse that will come together in each [of the] individual episodes. It will not quite be a crossover, but it will have a crossover-type feel with the introduction of all these characters. — Chairman & President Mark Pedowitz at The CW Press Conference.

Production on the new season of The Flash is expected to start this summer in Vancouver and the first of the five special event episodes to air mid-November on The CW.

It’s too soon to say which heroes from the ongoing CW shows Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Stargirl, Superman & Lois, and the by-then wrapped Supergirl and Black Lightning will be guest-starring in The Flash. Maybe DC’s teen super hero Naomi (Kaci Walfall) from the upcoming CW show Naomi could make an appearance?

The Covid pandemic put the kibosh on a crossover this season.

The Lena Luthor Foundation trended on Twitter as Supergirl spent a day filming a series of scenes with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) in downtown Vancouver.

Lena Luthor & Acrata (Julie Gonzalez) faced off against Lena’s brother Lex (Jon Cryer) with Lena having developed magic powers of some kind?

Lena and Andrea Rojaz (Julie Gonzalez) gave a speech in front of the William Dey School of Journalism.

Dreamer waved the Trans Pride flag at the opening of the Dreamer Centre for LGBTQ Outreach.

Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) sported a wedding ring at  the ribbon cutting ceremony, so a Danvers/Olsen (#Dansen) wedding will be filmed for the series finale.

Cast met with a Vancouver group of LGBTQ fans who’ve been supporting the show for several seasons.
