The annual DC crossover on The CW is flipping the order: it starts with The Flash on Sunday, December 9th, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10th and ends with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11th — all at 8 p.m.
This year’s event may not have aliens or Nazis but it will have Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) in all three episodes and introduce his significant other Lois Lane (yet to be cast).
As well as lesbian superhero Batwoman (Ruby Rose) and Gotham City, as Stephen Amell announced in May.
Casting the out lesbian Ruby Rose as Kate Kane seemed perfect, except to a small vocal part of the lesbian community who had championed a different actress.
Ruby Rose quit Twitter and deactivated public comments on her Instagram account because of their online trolling that she wasn’t lesbian enough.
Where on Earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be Batwoman’ come from – has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read. I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change. I wish we would all support each other and our journeys. — Ruby Rose.

Supergirl Season 4.
Brainy and his Legion ring.Brainy vs thugs.
Supergirl filmed a big fight scene with Legion member Querl Dox/Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath) in downtown Vancouver on Thursday. Brainy is walking down the street using some kind of device when he’s accosted by thugs in masks and grey hoodies. This 12th level intellect doesn’t use his fists, keeping his hands behind his back. But somehow they all end up on the ground.
How does he do it?
Force field? Jesse Rath isn’t telling.
Supergirl filmed other sequences on 500 block Hamilton Street, turning Java Cafe into the National City Beanery.

Gotham City’s Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane features in this year’s DC Crossover on The CW.
Jeremy Davies (Lost) is cast as diabolical Dr. John Deegan at the Asylum, TV Line reports.
Riverview, a former hospital for the mentally ill, seems like a perfect candidate to play Arkham Asylum in Vancouver.
It was Essex Schools for the Young in Deadpool 2.
Is this what brings the Flash (Grant Gustin), Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to lesbian superhero Batwoman (Ruby Rose)’s hometown?
Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) are also featured in the crossover.

Look what Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl did to Surrey’s former Flamingo Lounge today.

Are they auditioning for the musical Grease?

Amell seemed more intent on getting the sequence done because Arrow was premiering season 7 at the same time as the shoot. But he’s having fun too.
The other news today is Tyler Hoechlin as black-suited Superman.

Episode 4×04 Ahimsa.
Season 4 villains Mercy & Otis Graves (Rhona Mitra & Robert Baker) use the device used to end Season 2’s Daxamite invasion but this time the atmosphere is flooded with Kryptonite instead of lead which almost kills Supergirl until Lena Luthor comes up with a solution — a special suit of protective armour.
Supergirl filmed this episode in late July while Melissa Benoist was performing on Broadway so it also worked as a creative solution to hide her absence — later adding her face inside the helmut.
